I saw this super awesome Humans of New York image last week. If you haven’t heard of Humans of New York, you are missing out. Be sure to check it out! The image and story are below. Go ahead and read it, I’ll wait…
As an artist, I was inspired and moved by this incredible story of dedication. And then I realized that I am seeing stories of dedication to the arts all around me. I have met so many people who have moved to Los Angeles to pursue their dreams of becoming a singer, actor, screenwriter. I don’t have to look far to be inspired. I just have to hear the stories of the ex-marine who has been driving from Fresno to LA whenever he has an audition or job, the family who moves with their child to be their support, or the friends that planned their future and moved together to this sometimes-scary concrete jungle. I hear these stories and it reminds me how lucky I am to be an LA native. I am humbled and inspired by their dedication to their dreams and their craft. My hat is off to you… and I can’t wait to meet the others who are sure to inspire me.
